I have been involved in the world of art since I was a
child. I grew up surrounded by the arts. My maternal grandfather
was a silversmith who made beautiful jewelry. My mother was a
textile artist. I was introduced to art shows at a very young age
when I would accompany my mother to her shows. I began making
beaded jewelry and setting up at local shows during my teenage
years. While devoting myself to working with special needs children
my jewelry making was put on the back burner. Later with the birth
of my son I decided to return to my love of creation, and Kentucky
Fusion was started.
Working with wire
hour after hour was very hard on my hands and I soon began looking
for a natural lotion product. Each new product was a
disappointment. I began researching natural products and began
trying different combinations that would produce a natural lotion
that was good for your skin. The idea of a solid lotion bar that I
could easily carry in my pocket started my development of the
lotion bars I currently make. I started making them for my personal
use then added additional bars for presents. I soon had request
from people who tried them. I began making and selling these bars
and soon began a line that includes seasonal smells, masculine
scents and an all natural unscented bar.
